2. Overview

The Book Lodge Irish Retreat Giveaway (the "Giveaway") is a promotional sweepstakes designed to introduce and celebrate the growth of The Book Lodge community. By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters.

3. Eligibility

The Giveaway is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of The Book Lodge and its affiliates are not eligible.

Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

4. How to Enter

There is no purchase or payment required to enter. Eligible participants may enter by either of the following methods:

A. Register at The Book Lodge: Create an account at app.thebooklodge.com. Both free 7-day trial accounts and paid memberships qualify as Founding Lodger registration and constitute a valid entry. "Founding Lodgers" are defined as the first 1,000 registered members of The Book Lodge. No credit card or payment is required to register for the free trial. 

B. Mail-in entry: Hand-print your full name, mailing address, email address, and date of birth on a 3" × 5" card and mail it in a first-class stamped envelope to: The Book Lodge Giveaway, [Sponsor address coming soon]. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by the end of the Promotion Period and received within 7 days of the Promotion Period closing.

Limit: One (1) entry per person, regardless of the number of email addresses or accounts held. Duplicate, automated, or bulk entries will be disqualified.

A purchase, paid subscription, or paid membership of any kind is not required and will not increase a participant's chances of winning. Free trial members and paid members have equal odds of winning.

5. Promotion Period & Winner Selection

The Promotion Period begins on May 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM ET and ends on the earlier of:

(a) the date The Book Lodge reaches its 1,000th Founding Lodger (the first 1,000 registered members), or

(b) November 1, 2027 at 11:59 PM ET.

A winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period within fourteen (14) days following the close of the Promotion Period.

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

6. Prize

One (1) winner will receive a four (4) night stay for two (2) at an Irish castle or literary retreat property (the "Prize"), to be selected and confirmed by Sponsor at the time of award.

• Prize includes lodging accommodations for the winner and one (1) guest of the winner's choice in a single shared room or suite, unless otherwise specified at the time of award.

• Travel, airfare, ground transportation, meals, gratuities, and incidental expenses are not included unless otherwise specified.

• Prize dates and exact location are subject to availability and Sponsor confirmation.

• The winner's guest must be 18 years of age or older at the time of travel and must comply with all property and travel requirements.

• Prize must be redeemed within twelve (12) months of the date of award unless otherwise agreed in writing with Sponsor.

• Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize with one of equal or greater value at its sole discretion.

Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $1,500 USD. Actual value may vary based on travel dates, room category, and seasonal pricing.

7. Winner Notification & Conditions

The winner will be notified via the email address provided at entry within fourteen (14) days of selection. As a condition of receiving the Prize, the winner may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and (where lawful) a Publicity Release within fourteen (14) days of notification.

If the winner does not respond to notification within fourteen (14) days, fails to return required documents, is found ineligible, or declines the Prize, the Prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected at random from remaining eligible entries.

8. Taxes

The winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, fees, and any other expenses associated with acceptance and use of the Prize. An IRS Form 1099 will be issued for prizes valued at $600 USD or more.

9. Email Communication & Privacy

By entering, participants agree to receive email communications from The Book Lodge related to the Giveaway and The Book Lodge community. Participants may unsubscribe at any time without affecting their eligibility for the Giveaway.

Information collected during entry will be used in accordance with The Book Lodge's Privacy Policy, available HERE.

10. General Conditions

The Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Giveaway at any time if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Giveaway. Any such modification, suspension, or cancellation will be communicated on the Giveaway entry page.

By entering, participants release and hold harmless The Book Lodge, its founders, employees, contractors, partners, sponsors, and affiliates from any and all liability, loss, or damage arising out of participation in the Giveaway or acceptance, use, or misuse of the Prize.

11. Governing Law

The Giveaway and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Wisconsin.

12. Winner List

For the name of the winner (after award), send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: The Book Lodge Giveaway Winner, [Sponsor address coming soon]. Requests must be received within sixty (60) days of the winner being announced.
